The Strawberry Park Resort, where we stayed over for two nights. That is not exactly the room where we were staying though.

The lush potted greenery on sale at Cactus Valley.

The image on the left shows two hibiscuses. The red hibiscus is our national flower. I forgot the exact name of the plant in the right image but we bought a small pot of it back. xD Hopefully, it will be able to endure the harsh weather in Kuala Lumpur.

I finally got to see a Venus Fly Trap plant up-close! xD

The fresh tomatoes being grown. They were growing grapes as well but since those have yet to bear any fruits, I didn't get a photo of them.

The image on the left shows how strawberries are being grown in pots while Basil leaves are being grown on the ground. The right image shows vegetables being grown the hydroponic way.

Strawberries! My mum loves them. I, err... am not quite as fond of them as most people are.

The tea shop over the Bharat Tea Plantation.

We stopped over for a cup of tea with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream. ♥

The view from the top of the Bharat Tea Plantation.

It's a short trip but fun nevertheless. However, I think it will take me a few years again before I return to Cameron Highlands. The winding road up and down is too much for me too handle.

Lol those venus fly traps have teeths? Do they bite if you put something in the.. "mouth"? XD
Strawberries <33
Valerie: Minister!Siwonrubus_phoenic on July 4th, 2009 05:07 pm (UTC)
Well, I didn't try touching the venus fly traps but I'm guessing that its "teeth" aren't exactly sharp. The gardener explained that it will close its "mouth" once its touches something and then opens it back once whatever it traps is dead.

Pretty! I haven't been to Cameron Highlands for a long, long time.
I'm not a big fan of the strawberries either.
Valerie: Flowersrubus_phoenic on July 4th, 2009 05:03 pm (UTC)
Well, it's my first time going there. And I probably will not be back anytime soon.

I used to hate strawberries. Just starting to come into terms with the fruit. xD

How could you not love strawberries, Geng does not approve :P

Beautiful pictures, the place looks gorgeous!
Valerie: Soo Youngrubus_phoenic on July 5th, 2009 07:42 am (UTC)
My bad. I think, it's because most medicine I took during my childhood days had a strawberry flavour to it. LOL.
(sha)....(dotz)eternitybreaks on July 7th, 2009 02:36 am (UTC)
My mum had to buy strawberry medicine for me, so I'd take it. I use to drink out of the bottle, I was a bit of a junkie back then.

Valerie: YooChunrubus_phoenic on July 7th, 2009 02:45 pm (UTC)
Oh, wow. Addicted to strawberry medicine. That is a first.
(sha)....(dotz)eternitybreaks on July 8th, 2009 11:25 pm (UTC)
Honestly, I'm such a junkie sometimes. If I drank alcohol I'd be a drunk.

WOAH the first and last pictures look so pretty. o_o Where is that, exactly?
Valerie: Flowersrubus_phoenic on July 5th, 2009 07:39 am (UTC)
To answer your question, here?. LOL.

To keep it simple, Cameron Highlands is a highland located in one of the states (Pahang) in Malaysia. At 5,000 ft (1,500 m) above sea level, the temperature of Cameron Highland is no higher than 25°C, making it cooler than other lands/cities in Malaysia, which usually range from 23° to 31°C. The first picture is from the Strawberry Park Resort, which was where we staying throughout our three days there. Apart from the cool weather, Cameron Highlands is famous for its strawberry farms, rose gardens, vegetable gardens and tea plantations. ^^

Ah, I always forget about Wikipedia. :p Sounds pretty nice though, and I'm usually not into vacations like that ~ I usually need shopping and roller coasters to stay entertained. >.>

YESSSSSSSSSSSSS. Where have you been? LOL. I've been following it for ages. In fact, 8TV shows it faster than Astro. ^^

Cameronnnn! Haven't been there for ages! Hope it's still not polluted yet.

I didn't like the strawberries in CH because they're more like sour than sweet? The strawberries here are awesome though haha. (:
Valerie: Soo Youngrubus_phoenic on July 16th, 2009 12:30 pm (UTC)
It's not really polluted yet. ^^

Can you help me to buy some strawberries back then? LOL. Mum loves them.
